Rev. Paul Douglas Walfall - Minister

Rev. Paul joined the First United community in January 2016.

He is Jamaican by national.  He candidated for the ordained ministry in the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) in 1983 and then commenced ministerial formation at the United Theological College of the West Indies in Jamaica.  Upon leaving seminary he served in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for three years and in the island of Barbados for fourteen years.  While in Barbados he served as Circuit Minister in the Bethel and James Street/Speightstown Circuits and as Superintendent Minister for the Ebenezer and Bethel Circuits.  He also served as the Secretary of the South Caribbean District Conference of the MCCA for five years.  His last appointment in the Caribbean was the Publishing Officer for the MCCA.  In that post he was active in the publication of the new Methodist Hymn Book, efforts to publish new Sunday School materials for the Methodist and the Content Manager for the MCCA website.

Since 2011 he had been serving as the minister for the Cold Lake-Pierceland Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada. As some of you may know he was elected President of the Alberta and Northwest Conference in last May in Slave Lake. He is married to Rev. Marlene Britton-Walfall and we have two teenage sons.
