Are you interested in everyday development to deepen your relationship with God?  These Days magazine is a perfect resource for Christians seeking daily devotions for living by faith.  Published each quarter, These Daysprovides readers with Bible passages, devotions, prayers related to the theme and practical action steps for each day.  It is also available in large print.  If you are interested in a subscription, please call the church office for more information. 

Spiritual Learning - Points of Interest

At First United we receive information about learning opportunities and are very pleased to share these with you. We are calling these opportunities Spiritual Learning: Points of Interest for they are presented through conferences, workshops, retreats, certificate programs, and/or events. This information is also accessible on our website . 

Lay Worship Leader Certificate: Through the development of ability, the deepening of character, and the awareness and integration of doctrine, this program will equip men and women for lay worship leadership in the United Church of Canada. The participants must have a sense of call to Christian ministry and exhibit a sense of passion in the faith. They must successfully complete the courses as outlined and demonstrate the integration of that study into daily life and work. They must be in essential agreement with the Polity of the United Church of Canada. This certificate program is offered by Collaborative Agreement between St Stephen’s College and Alberta and Northwest Conference, United Church of Canada. Application deadline: September 1st.
