The process for joining the Board changed with the change in Board Governance over two years ago. It has evolved from a nomination process, where someone’s name was put forward followed by a vote, to several conversations about gifts and skills for a particular role.
Names can still be brought forward, then the Board/Minister will contact that person and be in discussion with them as to their particular gifts and interests. They will receive a package explaining process, commitment time and expectations.

Going into 2013 there are 2 opportunities for you to be part of the Board:
Chair Elect of the Board serves for one year with full voting privileges prior to assuming the role of Board Chair. This position is mentored by the chair position and work collaboratively on some matters.
1 Position for Member at Large
Members at large are part of the succession model that is a mandate of the Board. It is an entry level position where those curious about Board work and willing to develop skills and gifts for this kind of work are invited to participate. The incumbents will in part support the Board in meeting the “now” vision of the Church and should have the gifts and talent to be visionaries for the longer term.
