Land Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that our church building is on the traditional territory of the Cree, Assiniboine, & Ojibwa nations which are part of Treaty 6. First United Church honors their continued stewardship and care of the land, including our present time.
We use this opportunity also to celebrate the gifts, teachings, and heritage of the Metis peoples of Nation 4.
We make these acknowledgments as part of our intentional work of seeking right relations with Turtle Island's Indigenous peoples
and affirm our responsibilities as part of Treaty 6.
