Rev. Dr. Paul joined the First United community in January 2016. He is Jamaican by nationality. He candidated for the ordained ministry in the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas (MCCA) in 1983 and then commenced ministerial formation at the United Theological College of the West Indies in Jamaica. Upon leaving seminary, he served in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago for three years and in the island of Barbados for fourteen years. While in Barbados, he served as Circuit Minister in the Bethel and James Street/Speightstown Circuits and as Superintendent Minister for the Ebenezer and Bethel Circuits. He also served as the Secretary of the South Caribbean District Conference of the MCAA for five years. His last appointment in the Caribbean was the Publishing Officer for the MCAA. In that post, he was active in the publication of the new Methodist Hymn Book, efforts to publish new Sunday School materials for the Methodist and the Content Manager for the MCAA website.
Since 2011, he had been serving as the minister for the Cold Lake-Pierceland Pastoral Charge of the United Church of Canada. He was elected President of Alberta and Northwest Conference in 2015 and was appointed to the General Council Executive in 2018.

I have been a member of the First United Church for over 40 years. I taught Sunday school at First United for several years while my boy's were growing up. I have been in the Administration field for over 40 years and I have definitely found my calling being the Administrator for the First United Church.

Camille Ream - Handbell Choir Director
Camille Ream has been involved in church music since she was 15 years old. She has an expansive love for music, her family and her church. She has directed Resounding Joy, the handbell choir since 2000 and dazzled the congregation with what bells can really do. Camille has served as clinician at handbell events across Canada. In 2018, she represented Canada and directed the mass ringing choir at the International Handbell Symposium in Australia. Resounding Joy rehearses on Monday at 7pm.
